PROJECT COORDINATOR

Rural Healthcare Solutions is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator with a proven track record in project management using supporting technology to coordinate our implementation project teams at different client hospital sites throughout the country.

Responsibilities:

​

  • Coordinate project life cycle tasks from definition through post-implementation

  • Maintain project scope definition and change control management, including monitoring actual performance against schedule

  • Ensure creation, identification, prioritization, and sign-off of business requirements

  • Assure project planning and financial monitoring, including coordination of cost estimates; resource planning and management, and the identification of and securing of resources

  • Define a methodology for project modifications, conversion, and implementation

  • Facilitate project communication including risks, issues, and deviations from the plan

  • Confirm achievement of objectives; verify and document project deliverables and milestones to formalize acceptance by the sponsor

  • Provide direction, leadership, and mentoring as required to other team members

  • Coordinate production, post-implementation tasks, and project review

  • Ensure proper transition to the production support team and impacted business areas

Qualifications: 

​

  • 3+ years project coordination background with demonstrable experience managing long term consulting engagements

  • Demonstrable talent for driving complex issues to a satisfactory resolution and removing roadblocks impeding project progress

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Demonstrated competency in managing substantial project budgets

  • Ability to clearly define complex issues despite incomplete or ambiguous information

  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to maintain composure and continue to function effectively under pressure

  • Comfortable interacting effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Attention to detail and discipline to ensure project management methods are adhered to.

Education:

​

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred

 

Technical Skills:

​

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, with particularly strong acumen in MS Project

 

Travel Requirements:

​

  • You can expect 70% travel during the project duration

  • Work is 3-4 days at client site and Friday at home

  • Relocation is NOT required for this position

  • Travel expenses to and from client site, car rental, etc. will be reimbursed in addition to a per diem
