THE CHALLENGE
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano (THP) struggled with a lack of inpatient bed capacity, emergency department (ED) inefficiencies, long wait times and low client satisfaction.

Redesign patient care process. Teaming with the hospital front-line staff, Rural Health Solutions designed, trained and implemented integrated patient care processes across the ED, inpatient units, and ancillary services that created a much-more collaborative culture across the organization.
THE RESULTS
The measurable increase in operational efficiency, throughput and capacity enabled THP to implement its "30 Minute Promise" in the ED, recapturing revenue of nearly 1,000 patients and raising patient satisfaction scores to over the 95th percentile. Inpatient LOS decreased by 20% to 4.2 days.
